A home in Harrogate for 38 people, with the fees on the website.
Residential, nursing and dementia care. Visit any day between 10am and 8pm, no appointment needed.
Inspection reports are on the regulator's website and in the entrance hall. Ask the manager anything about them.
Four kinds of care, one building
Most people move in for one and stay as their needs change, without moving rooms. The care changes; the faces do not.
Residential care
For people who need help with daily living: washing, dressing, meals and medication, with company and activities through the day. Personal care from a team on duty around the clock.
Suits someone finding home hard to manage, or lonely there.
Nursing care
Everything in residential care, plus registered nurses on every shift for conditions that need clinical care: wound care, catheters, PEG feeding, diabetes management, end-of-life care.
Suits someone with a health condition that needs a nurse, not just a carer.
Dementia care
A 12-bed household on the ground floor with its own lounge, kitchen and secure garden, staff trained in dementia care, and routines built around each person rather than the clock.
Suits someone living with dementia who needs a calmer, smaller setting.
Respite and short stays
From one week to a few months, for recovery after hospital, a carer’s holiday, or to try us before deciding. The same room, care and meals as a permanent resident.
Suits families who need a break, or a trial before moving in.
Daily life
- Food
- Cooked in our own kitchen, two choices at every meal, and a resident on the menu committee. Special diets, soft diets and late breakfasts are normal, not a request.
- Activities
- Two activities coordinators, seven days a week. Gardening club, singing, chair exercise, a monthly outing, and quiet company for anyone who prefers it.
- Visiting
- Any day, 10am to 8pm, no appointment. Grandchildren and dogs welcome. Stay for lunch if you ring ahead.
- Health
- A GP visits weekly, with district nurses, chiropody, optician and dentist arranged in-house. We come with you to hospital appointments if family cannot.
